Two males posing as policemen, carried out a car verify close to Chennai Fort railway station and snatched ₹62 lakh from a businessman engaged in laptop computer commerce. Both fled the scene.

Police mentioned Naresh, a local of Rajasthan, has been dwelling in Sowcarpet and working a laptop computer service store on Anna Salai alongside along with his good friend Mujeeb. They import laptops from overseas and promote them. They additionally service and resell previous laptops.

Recently, Mujeeb handed over ₹62 lakh to Naresh, asking him to ship it to an agent. Naresh waited with the money on his bike close to Muthusamy Bridge, near Chennai Fort railway station. However, the agent by no means turned up. Naresh then determined to return the cash to Mujeeb.

At that time, two unidentified males on a two-wheeler intercepted him close to the Muthusamy Bridge sign. Claiming to be cops, they advised him that they wanted to query him and took his bike.
