Woman arrested on costs of dishonest electronics store proprietor

The Barke police on Sunday arrested a 28-year-old girl on costs of dishonest an electronics store to a tune of ₹1.98 lakh by presenting invalid cheques.

The accused has been recognized as Farida Begum, the spouse of Ramiz Raja, a resident of Muttur village. According to police, Farida bought three high-end laptops via an acquaintance from the complainant, Jayaram, who runs Laptop Bazar at a mall on Mahatma Gandhi Road.

However, the cheques she introduced for the acquisition had been pretend, thus forcing the store proprietor to file a criticism with the Barke police, which registered a case of felony breach of belief and dishonest towards the accused. Investigating Officer Vinayak Toragal and ladies police personnel arrested Farida underneath the steering of Police Inspector Mohan Kottary.
