Around 7 p.m., the river crossed the warning degree, reaching the mark of 204.60 metres on the Old Railway Bridge, it stated.
The warning mark for the town is 204.50 metres, whereas the hazard mark is 205.33 metres. Evacuation of individuals begins at 206 metres.

The Old Railway Bridge serves as a key remark level for monitoring the river’s circulate and potential flood dangers.
“In view of the quantity of water released from Hathnikund Barrage today, 17th August, and heavy rainfall in the Upper Yamuna area, it is informed that the water level at Delhi Railway Bridge may cross 206.00 around 02 a.m. on 19th August, 2025,” the advisory stated.
The CWC stated all involved businesses have been requested to take precautionary measures to deal with a flood-like scenario.
“The reason for the increase in level is mostly due to the high volumes of water released from the Wazirabad and Hathnikund barrages every hour,” an official from the central flood room stated.
According to the flood management division, the Hathnikund barrage is releasing round 127,030 cusecs of water, the best this season, and Wazirabad is releasing 45,620 cusecs of water each hour.
Water launched from the barrages usually takes 48 to 50 hours to succeed in Delhi.
On Friday (August 15, 2025), the water degree reached the mark of 204.65 metres at 1 p.m., and on Saturday (August 16, 2025), it reached 205.11 metres.
