During the same period, the She Teams received 18 complaints from women through various channels, officials said.
As part of Operation Smile-XII, the Cyberabad Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) registered 119 cases under the Juvenile Justice Act and the Child Labour Act and rescued 337 children from different parts of the commissionerate. Those rescued included 329 boys and eight girls.
The Women and Child Safety Wing also facilitated counselling and reconciliation efforts in marital disputes, resulting in 30 families being reunited through Family Counselling Centres and Centres for Development and Empowerment of Women.
In addition to enforcement, the AHTU and She Teams conducted extensive awareness programmes across Cyberabad during the week. Around 4,260 people participated in these programmes, which focused on issues such as human and child trafficking, eve-teasing, social media harassment, child marriages, child rights, child labour, stalking, begging, cyberbullying and cyber frauds. Information on emergency and support services including the women’s helpline 181, child helpline 1098, Dial 100 and the cybercrime helpline 1930 was also disseminated.
