Bhumana sticks to his stand on Parakamani case, calls for CBI probe

YSR Congress Party State official spokesperson and Chittoor district president Bhumana Karunakar Reddy upped the ante towards the ruling NDA Alliance authorities by demanding a CBI probe into the ‘Parakamani rip-off’ that rocked the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) two years again.

Addressing a media convention right here on Sunday (September 21), Mr. Reddy squarely blamed the Minister for Education Nara Lokesh and TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu of unnecessarily dragging his title into the rip-off, recalling that accused C. Ravi Kumar was caught stealing foreign money notes on April 29, 2023, when he was not the Trust Board chairman.

“The accused has admitted to have been stealing foreign money notes during the last 20 years, which additionally concurs with the interval of TDP rule beneath Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Why did his authorities not unearth the rip-off throughout his rule?” he countered.
