Currently, connectivity between #Madurai, #Paramakudi, #Ramanathapuram, #Mandapam, Rameshwaram, and Dhanushkodi relies on the prevailing two-lane National Highway 87 (NH-87) and related State Highways, which expertise important congestion resulting from excessive visitors volumes, particularly in densely populated stretches and key cities alongside the hall, a authorities launch stated.

Additionally, the upgraded hall will improve multi-modal integration by connecting with two main railway stations (#Madurai and Rameshwaram), one Airport (#Madurai), and two minor ports (Pamban and Rameshwaram), thereby facilitating sooner motion of products and passengers throughout the area.

Upon completion, the #Paramakudi-#Ramanathapuram part will play a pivotal function in regional financial progress, strengthening connectivity between main spiritual and financial facilities, boosting tourism to Rameshwaram and Dhanushkodi, and opening new avenues for commerce and industrial growth.

The venture may even generate roughly 8.4 lakh person-days of direct and 10.45 lakh person-days of oblique employment, and can open new avenues of progress, growth and prosperity in surrounding areas, the federal government launch additional stated.
