Cyclone havoc in Kannur: Elderly man killed, fisherman lacking

A 78-year-old man died early Saturday (July 26, 2025) after a tree fell on his home throughout a extreme cyclone that hit the Kolayad area of Kannur district.

The deceased has been recognized as Eniyadan Chandran of Peruva Thettumal. The incident occurred round 2 a.m. when sturdy winds uprooted a tree that crashed onto his residence.
