Cyclone Montha: aid operations alongside Kakinada coast intensified

The authorities mentioned that greater than 600 boats, together with mechanised boats engaged in fishing within the Bay of Bengal, had returned safely to the shore by Monday (October 27, 2025). Additionally, 142 pregnant girls had been shifted to close by authorities hospitals as a precautionary measure as a result of cyclonic storm “Montha”.

The police are guarding the Kakinada-Uppada highway which is going through a menace of submergence as a consequence of sea erosion. Most of the aid camps have been opened between Kakinada and Uppada coastal belt, during which important commodities are saved to fulfill the requirement for one week, the Minister mentioned. 

As many as 23 ambulances are able to sort out emergencies in the course of the cyclone. Additionally, medical and well being employees at Pithapuram and Tallarevu Primary Health Centres will probably be dispatched throughout aid operations.
