The Headmaster of Kundamkuzhi Government Higher Secondary School in Kasaragod has been accused of assaulting a Class X pupil, allegedly rupturing his eardrum.

The alleged incident happened on August 11 through the faculty meeting when the 15-year-old boy allegedly moved a pebble along with his foot.

According to the boy’s mom, the headmaster known as her son to the entrance of the meeting, held him up by the collar and struck him on the face in entrance of different college students.

Later, the boy complained of extreme ear ache and listening to loss and was taken to the taluk hospital. Doctors referred him to a different hospital the place a ruptured eardrum was confirmed, the mom claimed.

The baby is at the moment present process therapy and a surgical procedure has been advisable, she added.

HM denies fees

Meanwhile, the headmaster has denied the allegation and stated that he had solely reprimanded the boy for misbehaving through the meeting and had not bodily assaulted him.

The Youth Congress staff staged a protest in entrance of the college on Monday demanding that the HM be suspended. The police dispersed the protesting activists.

Meanwhile, Education Minister V. Sivankutty has directed the Kasaragod Deputy Director of Education to conduct an inquiry into the incident. He stated that whereas college students will be disciplined based on authorized provision, “brutal beatings can’t be accepted.” The Minister added that strict motion would comply with based mostly on the inquiry findings.
