Indian mission in Jeddah units up camp workplace in Medina after bus tragedy; Consul General meets lone survivor

The Consulate General of India in Jeddah has arrange a camp workplace in Medina to help the households of Indians who died in a bus accident involving Hajj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia, the mission stated on Tuesday (November 18, 2025).

Forty-four Indian Umrah pilgrims, together with 42 from Telangana, had been killed in a collision involving their bus and a gas tanker close to Medina within the wee hours of Monday (November 17, 2025).

The native authorities have confirmed that there’s one Indian survivor, and he’s present process medical remedy. In a social media submit, the Consulate stated it has arrange the camp workplace within the Indian Hajj Pilgrims Office in Medina to help the households of Indians who died within the accident.

In a separate submit, the mission stated Consul General Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri met Abdul Shoeb Mohammed, the lone survivor of the accident, who’s presently present process remedy at a hospital in Medina.

“Concerned hospital authorities have informed that the best possible medical care is being provided to him. Consulate wishes him a speedy recovery,” it stated.
