The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) will type a panel to inquire into the veracity of the allegations of sexual misconduct in opposition to the occasion’s Palakkad MLA Rahul Mamkootathil.

KPCC disciplinary committee chairperson Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan instructed The Hindu that the occasion’s nationwide management would announce the composition of the inquiry panel.

Another Congress insider stated the All India Congress Committee (AICC) had taken severe cognisance of the imputations of the alleged improper behaviour swirling round Mr. Mamkootathil.

He stated the panel would try to look at the veracity of the accusations of unsolicited, salacious WhatsApp messaging.

Renewed criticism

Meanwhile, Mr. Mamkootathil confronted renewed criticism on Friday, with a lady author complaining to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan that she was the goal of an internet smear marketing campaign and cyberattacks for approaching report concerning the legislator’s allegedly improper behaviour.

Meanwhile, the KPCC reportedly seen the accusations in opposition to Mr. Mamkootathil as coming at a politically inopportune second for the occasion when its marketing campaign highlighting alleged monetary shenanigans supposedly involving the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] management and a U.Okay.-based businessperson gave the impression to be gaining momentum.

Moreover, the KPCC felt that the controversy had moved the highlight away from the federal government’s “failures” in varied sectors, together with stalled initiatives, roads in disrepair and a poor state of affairs at public hospitals, amongst different points.
