Keralas withdrawal from PM SHRI scheme will harm public training, says Union Minister George Kurian

Union Minister George Kurian on Thursday (October 30, 2025) criticised the Kerala authorities’s choice to evaluate its participation within the PM SHRI scheme warning that the transfer would deal a extreme blow to the State’s public training sector.

He alleged that the withdrawal was meant to weaken authorities colleges and cautioned that it may push college students to hunt training in different States.
