A authorities spokesman stated the L-G Secretariat had obtained a illustration from Purshotam Lal Dube, who heads a non-governmental organisation, for inclusion of Sanskrit within the faculties and schools of J&Ok beneath the provisions of NEP 2020.

“The communication was forwarded to the Higher and the School Education division by the L-G Secretariat. The division has not proposed, authorised, or initiated any course of for the inclusion of Sanskrit as a compulsory or elective topic in faculties throughout Jammu & Kashmir,” the federal government spokesman stated. 

The spokesman stated the L-G workplace’s communication was forwarded by the General Administration Department (GAD) to Director School Education Jammu and Kashmir for furnishing of feedback within the matter. 

“The division follows a clear and consultative course of for curriculum modifications, in step with NEP 2020. Any future choice relating to the inclusion of latest topics will likely be formally communicated by means of correct channels after due deliberation,” the spokesman stated.

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party on Saturday accused the Omar Abdullah authorities of excluding Urdu from digitisation of land information in J&Ok.
