NIE launches analysis awards backed by 1 cr. endowment

The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, in affiliation with Kachigere Sidde Gowda Krishnappa, a New York–primarily based medical practitioner, has instituted the Smt. Meenakumari and Dr. Sidde Gowda Krishnappa Puttachi Scientific, Innovative, and Impactful Research Awards.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Dr. Krishnappa’s designee, Dinesh Puttachi, and NIE representatives, M.S. Ranganath, honorary president of NIE Management Committee, and Rohini Nagapadma, principal of NIE.

The MoU establishes a ₹1 crore corpus, the annual curiosity of which will likely be utilised to advertise impactful analysis amongst NIE’s school and college students.
