Police Commemoration Day noticed in Villupuram, Cuddalore, Kallakurichi

Deputy Inspector General of Police (Villupuram Range) E.S. Uma on Tuesday (October 20,2025) paid tributes to police personnel, who died whereas on obligation, on the event of Police Commemoration Day on the Armed Reserve police grounds in Villupuram.

After the commemoration parade, Ms. Uma positioned wreaths on the Martyrs’ column within the police grounds. Superintendent of Police P. Saravanan was current.

In Cuddalore district, Superintendent of Police S. Jeyakumar led the police in paying homage. The solemn event drew to an in depth with a 21 gun salute by Armed Reserve police personnel.

Kallakurichi Superintendent of Police G.S. Madhavan led the police in paying homage on the district police workplace in Kallakurichi.

The Police Commemoration Day is noticed on October 21 yearly to pay respects to the ten policemen who have been killed by Chinese troops in an ambush at Hot Springs in Ladakh in 1959.
