Police detain Congress MP, SP MLA at home to stop from visiting Bareilly

Congress MP Imran Masood and Samajwadi Party MLA Shahnavaz Khan had been prevented by the police from visiting strife-hit Bareilly on Wednesday (October 1, 2025).

The two leaders had been scheduled to journey to town by an early morning practice to satisfy some cops, however had been confined to their residences on Tuesday (September 30) evening.

A police workforce has been standing guard outdoors their houses since then.

Addressing reporters at his residence, Mr. Masood mentioned, “We follow the Gandhian ideology.
