Editorial | On Rahul Gandhi’s ‘stolen elections’ allegation and the Election Commission of India
On September 1, Mr. Gandhi warned the BJP of an impending expose, stating that he would quickly unleash a “hydrogen bomb” about his allegations of vote theft, as what was proven about Mahadevpura was simply an “atom bomb.”
Earlier, on the press convention on September 17, Mr. Gandhi mounted a scathing assault on Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, accusing the CEC of “defending” those that are “destroying” Indian democracy by refusing to share technical particulars of individuals behind an try and delete names of voters from the electoral rolls of the Mahadevpura Assembly seat in Karnataka.
