As per the recent amendments to the Tamil Nadu Combined Development and Building Rules, 2019, the minimal highway width for inexperienced and white class industries in peri-urban village panchayat and village panchayat areas has been lowered from 7 metres to six metres.
However, the minimal highway width required for all classes — together with the inexperienced and white class industries positioned in company/municipality/city panchayat areas — would proceed to be 7 metres, based on the G.O. issued by the Housing and Urban Development Department.
Even in peri-urban village panchayat or village panchayat areas, the minimal highway width for orange and crimson class industries would proceed to be 7 metres. The order benefiting inexperienced, white class industries in peri-urban village panchayat areas was issued final week.
The usually permissible Floor Space Index (FSI) for all these classes, i.e., white, inexperienced, orange and crimson industries can be two. Earlier this 12 months, the Tamil Nadu Government expanded the checklist of white industries and listed 609 industries as white class industries.
