An orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall at remoted locations in 12 districts of Telangana was issued by India Meteorological Department (IMD) for Friday (August 15, 2025). And, eight districts are below yellow alert. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds (40-50 kmph) had been forecast as very seemingly at remoted locations in all districts.

Orange alert to 12 dists

The 12 districts below orange alert are Adilabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Kamareddy, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mahabubabad, Mancherial, Medak, Mulugu, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, and Warangal, in line with IMD’s bulletin issued on Thursday (August 14, 2025) afternoon.

Yellow alert to eight dists

Heavy rainfall may be very seemingly at remoted locations in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Hanumakonda, Jagtial, Jangaon, Karimnagar, Rajanna Sircilla, Sangareddy, and Vikarabad.
