YSRCP alleges large-scale irregularities in Pulivendula, Ontimitta ZPTC bypolls

The YSRCP has alleged that the TDP resorted to large-scale malpractice in the course of the Pulivendula and Ontimitta ZPTC by-elections, terming it a “homicide of democracy.”

Addressing the media on Thursday, YSRCP leaders Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani) and MLC Lella Appi Reddy alleged that non-local TDP staff have been allowed to vote within the presence of district officers, whereas YSRCP supporters and polling brokers have been obstructed. They alleged that the police acted as a defend for the TDP, permitting outsiders from Jammalamadugu, Kamalapuram, and Proddutur to forged bogus votes.

They criticised the State Election Commission for ordering re-polling in solely two polling stations at 2 a.m., lengthy after the alleged rigging occurred, calling it eyewash. They demanded the discharge of CCTV and webcasting footage to reveal what they described as systematic sales space capturing and police collusion.

Mr. Nani stated the absence of girls voters in queues pointed to manipulation, questioning what Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had achieved by such means. Mr. Appi Reddy vowed that YSRCP would take the difficulty to the individuals, reaffirming the get together’s dedication to free and truthful elections.

He stated the get together lodged 35 complaints with the SEC, made 17 private visits, and despatched 18 emails highlighting the “irregularities,” however no motion was taken.
