After despatched into bat by Australian captain Mitchell Marsh, India set a decent rating of 264 through the second ODI in Adelaide on Thursday (October 23, 2025).

India have been in a spot of trouble at 17 for two on the finish of seven overs. The staff misplaced captain Shubman Gill (9) and Virat Kohli (0).

But Rohit Sharma (73) and Shreyas Iyer (61) constructed the innings and added 118 runs for the third wicket. Rohit began slowly however raised the bar and scored a superb half-century making a return to the white-ball cricket after the Champions Trophy.

After the dismissal of Rohit, Axar Patel (44) joined Shreyas. But India misplaced Shreyas Iyer with the staff rating at 160.

Rahul (11) and Washington Sundar (12) couldn’t provide any help to Axar Patel.

Trying to improvise the scoring fee Axar was dismissed by Adam Zampa. Nitish Kumar Reddy (8) was additionally dismissed cheaply.

Harshit Rana (24) and Arshdeep Singh (13) added precious runs for India in direction of the top of the innings.
