But it’s honest to say that Dhruv Jurel has carried out this function with aplomb, and his first Test century (125, 210b, 15×4, 3×6), towards the West Indies right here on Friday, was the simply reward.

“I do plenty of visualisation, whether or not I’m enjoying or not,” Jurel mentioned, after the second day’s play within the opening Test right here. “When I play a match, it doesn’t really feel something new. I do know I’ve gone by this and what the sensation is like.
“I visualise all the things, from strolling in [to the middle] to taking the stance. Nothing feels totally different. I’m at all times ready. Whether I’m enjoying or not, I attempt to hold myself prepared.”
The 24-year-old, who’s enjoying his sixth Test, mentioned it was a privilege simply to be with the Indian set-up. “How many get to be with the squad and what number of play Test cricket? I’m very glad that I’m with the squad, and if I’m not enjoying the match, I hold working exhausting.”
“I feel you must attempt to management what you possibly can management. It shouldn’t be my choice to play as a batter or a wicketkeeper. My one job is to make the runs,” Jurel added.
