With few folks conscious of India even having a nationwide ice hockey group, it was an achievement towards all odds when the Indian ladies’s group received a historic bronze on the IIHF Asia Cup in UAE final month.
Their inspirational journey and achievement has now been documented in a four-minute documentary titled ‘Sound of Courage’ on Pocket FM, the world’s largest audio collection platform, as a part of its India, Kuch Acha Suno marketing campaign.
From battling stereotypes to coaching in difficult circumstances with scarce amenities, together with coaching in borrowed males’s gear, the movie highlights the journeys of the group members and their struggles within the powerful Ladakh terrain.
Battling household resistance, societal stress and being mocked for taking part in a “males’s sport,” the movie options Indian group gamers together with captain Tsewang Chuskit, Sonam Angmo, Sonam Angmo (Kanji), Skarma Rinchen, Rinchen Dolma, Sherap Zangmo, Padma Chorol, Rigzin Yangdol, Dechen Dolker and Diskit C Angmo.
