Charred stays of the BMTC bus that was gutted in a hearth at HAL bus cease in Bengaluru on September 15, 2025.

A BMTC bus was gutted after a hearth broke out within the car on the HAL bus cease in east Bengaluru on September 15 morning. Around 60 passengers have been within the bus on the time of the accident, and all of them are protected.

According to the police, the bus, belonging to Depot-51 (car No. KA 57 F 4568), was heading to KBS. When it reached the HAL bus cease round 5.10 a.m., a hearth broke out within the engine.

Driver Jayachandra and conductor Chowdappa ensured that every one the passengers have been safely evacuated and despatched onward on one other bus.

Immediately after the fireplace was seen, the bus crew knowledgeable the Fire and Emergency Services Department. Fire personnel reached the spot and extinguished the fireplace. However, the bus was gutted.

A technical staff led by BMTC’s Chief Mechanical Engineer, together with the police, reached the spot and initiated a probe to establish the reason for the fireplace. The HAL police are awaiting their report.

The BMTC, in a press release, reiterated that passenger security is of the best precedence and guaranteed that every one mandatory technical measures shall be taken instantly to stop recurrence of such incidents.
