Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa handed over job appointment letters to 19 individuals from households affected by the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, as part of a broader plan to supply employment to 125 such individuals.

In a giant switch within the route of delivering long-overdue justice, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa distributed authorities job appointment letters to relations of the 1984 anti-Sikh riot victims. The ceremony, held on Monday, seen 19 individuals acquire their letters, with an entire of 125 riot-affected individuals slated to be equipped jobs.

“Under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, the Delhi government has issued job appointment letters to 125 individuals from families affected by the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. We want to deliver justice to the victim families,” acknowledged CM Rekha Gupta by means of the event.

Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, who has been actively involved in looking for justice for the riot victims, emphasised the federal authorities’s dedication to supporting affected households.

The initiative follows a similar effort by Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, who distributed appointment letters to 47 survivors of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in November 2024. 

The 1984 anti-Sikh riots, which erupted following the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, resulted throughout the deaths of 1000’s of Sikhs and left many households devastated. The Delhi authorities’s newest actions aim to supply not solely employment alternate options however as well as a method of justice and closure to the affected households.
