“Within the next 4-6 months, the cost of electric vehicles will be equivalent to the cost of petrol vehicles,” Mr. Gadkari stated, whereas addressing the twentieth FICCI Higher Education Summit 2025.
Further, the Minister stated, “Within 5 years, our goal is to make India’s vehicle trade the number one on the planet.”
“When I took charge as Transport Minister, the size of the Indian automobile industry was ₹14 lakh crore. The size of the Indian automobile industry now is ₹22 lakh crore,” Mr. Gadkari added.
Presently, the scale of the U.S. vehicle trade is ₹78 lakh crore, adopted by China (₹47 lakh crore) and India (₹Rs 22 lakh crore).
Mr. Gadkari identified that farmers have earned an extra ₹45,000 crore by producing ethanol from corn.
Furthermore, the Minister stated that “We have initiated a programme underneath which we goal to make use of the whole segregated strong waste within the nation in highway building by 2027, thereby creating worth from the waste.”
Highlighting the significance of upper schooling and ability improvement, the minister stated {that a} futuristic imaginative and prescient for improvement with applicable information is the necessity of the hour, and India’s energy lies in its younger, gifted and expert manpower in comparison with every other nation.
“This is a big strength of India, and by using this strength, if we are successful in giving them the right education, right skills, then we can move ahead in the world,” he stated.
Additionally, the Minister acknowledged that greater schooling establishments also needs to concentrate on together with and adopting profitable progressive applied sciences within the curriculum, and sensible utility to strengthen future planning.
