The All Women Police, Koyambedu, Chennai, have arrested 5 individuals for allegedly forcing a schoolgirl into prostitution. The arrests adopted an investigation right into a case that surfaced in August, when the Anti-Vice Squad rescued a Class 9 lady from a lodge in Koyambedu.

Those arrested on Sunday have been recognized as Bharathi Kannan, 63, a junior artist from Ramapuram, Ramesh, 40, a DMK functionary, Poongodi, 35, a dancer; her niece Aishwarya; and Mahendhran, an worker of a personal building agency.

Police investigations revealed the sufferer had misplaced her father and was deserted by her mom who received remarried. Left with out help, she stayed with Poongodi, her mom’s pal, in KK Nagar. Police stated Kannan organized shoppers for the gang, together with Ramesh and Mahendhran.
