The HMT land was required for the stretch between HMT and NAD, which is a part of the second section of Seaport-Airport Road development. Additionally, 2.46 hectares from NAD required for the highway growth challenge have been handed over. “The authorities had already allotted ₹32.26 crore, which incorporates ₹23.11 crore because the land worth assessed by the Defence Ministry, ₹8.16 crore for widening NAD-Thorappu Road, and ₹99.43 lakh for establishing the compound wall,” mentioned a communication.
Last month, the State authorities had granted administrative sanction for ₹17.31 crore for the development of a highway alongside HMT and NAD stretches. Tender procedures are beneath method. The highway close to HMT might be constructed with a width of 45 metres and a size of 600 metres. As the highway sketch close to NAD has already been ready, follow-up measures are anticipated to proceed directly.
