The final rites of Army Major T.S.T. Bharadwaj, who died throughout a fight coaching train at a army base in Rajasthan on Tuesday (October 14, 2025), had been carried out with full army honours in Guntur on Wednesday (October 15, 2025). Bharadwaj was a local of the Sangadigunta space in Guntur.

The funeral was attended by civil and police officers, and public representatives. District Collector A. Thameem Ansariya, MLAs Mohammad Naseer and Galla Madhavi, and Municipal Commissioner Puli Srinivasulu paid their final respects to the mortal stays of the Major and expressed condolences to the bereaved household.

Earlier within the day, Guntur Superintendent of Police Vakul Jindal led the police contingent in paying homage to the Major. He described Major Bharadwaj as an inspiration to the nation, praising his braveness, self-discipline, and devotion to responsibility.

“Major Bharadwaj’s sacrifice within the service of the nation will stay etched in our reminiscence endlessly,” the SP mentioned, extending his deep sympathies to the officer’s father Upendra Kumar and different relations.

The SP, municipal officers, MLAs, and police personnel additionally joined the funeral.
