Minister Laxmi Hebbalkars panel wins Malaprabha sugar manufacturing unit polls in Belagavi district of Karnataka

The ‘Revival panel’ backed by Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar has received the elections to the board of administrators of the Malaprabha Sugars Co-operative Society, formally referred to as Shri Malaprabha Sahakari Sakkare Karkhane (N), in Belagavi district of Karnataka.

The Minister’s brother Channaraj Hattiholi, an MLC, is a member of the panel. All the 15 members, together with Mr. Hattiholi, received the elections. The polling was held on September 28. The outcomes have been introduced on September 29.

Other essential leaders who supported the panel have been MLA Babasaheb Patil and BJP chief and MLA Vithal Halgekar.

The Minister advised reporters in Belagavi on September 29 that the goal of the panel is revival of the manufacturing unit. “At one time, the Malaprabha sugar manufacturing unit was the primary manufacturing unit in Asia. The new administration board will take the manufacturing unit again to the highest.”

“Most of the sugar factories within the district are in debt. Malaprabha sugars has a debt of ₹220 crore. We won’t solely clear this, but additionally take up reform and revival. We will put in place a system to see that dues of all farmers are settled in 15 days. We may also defend the pursuits of workers,” she stated.

She hinted that Mr. Hattiholi could possibly be elected president of the board.

Mr. Hattiholi stated farmers’ welfare can be their high precedence. “I’ve expertise in managing factories, and have been managing the manufacturing unit for the final 6-7 years. We will strive our greatest to revive it and clear all dues,” he stated.
