Organized by No. 6 Karnataka Naval Unit of NCC, Udupi, below the overarching steering of the Karnataka and Goa NCC Directorate, the camp is being carried out below the aegis of the Group Head Quarters Mangaluru. The camp is a key occasion within the quest for the coveted All-India ‘Ocean Sailing Expedition – MENU (Most Entertaining Naval Unit ) Trophy.’ In all, 72 chosen cadets of NCC Naval wing are collaborating within the camp.
Participating cadets cleaned the camp web site — Sharada Residential School, Udupi — and Malpe Beach throughout the drive. The initiative is geared toward encouraging cleanliness, group participation and sustaining hygiene within the environment. The cadets additionally undertook a route-march in Udupi and Malpe to unfold the message of cleanliness drive.
The occasion highlighted how small minor voluntary contributions can contribute to larger social change with the message “cleanliness is everybody’s responsibility.” By endeavor the drive, the cadets demonstrated how they perceive the life by way of unity and self-discipline thereby strengthening NCC’s service mission.
After the cleanliness drive, the cadets underwent coaching within the upkeep of sailboats and boat rigging on the NCC Boat Pool in Udyavara close to Udupi. The official MENU ranging from Monday (October 6, 2025) will inculcate management, self-discipline, group work, cooperation and commanding qualities among the many cadets.
