Police stated that the employees had been employed by a non-public resort in Kattapanai in Idukki district, Kerala. The individuals names got as Jayaraman of Cumbum, Michael and Sundarapandian of Gudalur.
It is alleged that when Michael stepped contained in the tank first, he had reportedly sought the assistance of Sundarapandian, who too entered. As there was no response, Jayaraman too went in, however they had been caught inside on account of suffocation.
After an alert, the hearth and rescue companies personnel rushed in and rescued the three staff. They had been in an unconscious state.
Kattapanai police despatched them to the Idukki district authorities medical faculty hospital. However, the docs declared them introduced lifeless. “Due to Oxygen deprivation, they might have died….” a police officer investigating the case stated and added that the tank was about 10 ft deep. It was not in use for someday and the slush needed to be eliminated for which the agent had introduced within the three staff.
Preliminary inquiries revealed that the three staff had been engaged by an agent to scrub the septic tank within the resort premises. They didn’t put on any security devices as mandated by the legislation, police stated and added {that a} case has been registered.
Based on the autopsy, additional motion could be taken, police stated.
