Indian couple harassed in Canada; one youth arrested

The Peterborough police arrested an 18-year-old male from Kawartha Lakes on Saturday (August 9, 2025), and charged him with hate crime, regarding an incident that occurred within the Lansdowne Place Mall car parking zone just lately. 

Reportedly, an Indian couple was harassed within the mall car parking zone by a gaggle of Canadian youths on July 29, 2025, the video of which has surfaced on social media.

The Indian couple was allegedly harassed in a racially motivated assault. As a results of the investigation the 18-year-old male was arrested. The accused has been launched on an endeavor and can seem in courtroom on September 16, 2025.
