Russia launches new nuclear submarine service of doomsday drone

Russia has launched its newest nuclear submarine to be armed with a ‘Poseidon’ nuclear drone, also called ‘doomsday missile’ able to “wiping out” coastal nations, in response to media reviews.

The nuclear submarine ‘Khabarovsk’ was launched by Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov at a solemn ceremony within the presence of Russian Naval Chief Admiral Alexander Moiseyev and different high shipbuilding officers in Severodvinsk at Sevmash shipyards.

“Today marks a major occasion for us – the heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser Khabarovsk is being launched from the strict of the famend Sevmash,” Mr. Belousov mentioned in his televised remarks late on Saturday (November 1, 2025) evening.

Sevmash shipyards had earlier retrofitted INS Vikramaditya plane service for India.

The Russian Defence Minister emphasised that the submarine carrying underwater weapons and robotic methods will allow Russia to efficiently make sure the safety of its maritime borders and shield its nationwide pursuits in varied areas of the world’s oceans, in response to TASS, the Russian information company.
