Trump vows nationwide emergency in Washington, D.C., over ICE dispute

U.S President Donald Trump mentioned on Monday (September 15, 2025) he would name a nationwide emergency and federalise Washington, D.C. after Mayor Muriel Bowser mentioned its police wouldn’t cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
