Director Anurag Basu’s upcoming movie Metro… In Dino is a religious sequel to Life in a… Metro, impressed by Irrfan Khan’s suggestion.

Anurag recollects dialog with Irrfan that led to Metro… In Dino
In dialog with News18, Anurag shared a heartfelt anecdote about how Metro… In Dino got here to be. “After Jagga Jasoos, Irrfan and I have been chatting, and he out of the blue mentioned, ‘Metro 2 banaate hai’ (Let’s make Metro 2). It wasn’t proper after Life in a… Metro. This was years later. But it was his suggestion that planted the seed for this movie.”
Irrfan performed a key position within the unique movie, which stood out for its mosaic of interconnected tales round city relationships. His efficiency grew to become one of many defining components of Life in a… Metro.
Although there have been rumours as early as 2017 that Irrfan had signed on for the sequel, the movie was delayed and ultimately took a distinct form. Interestingly, Anurag by no means meant to make a trilogy of hyperlinked movies.
“I didn’t have any plans of constructing a trilogy. I used to be scared if Life In A Metro would even work. It was one thing very completely different. But after that, I bought the cling of it. I began having fun with writing hyperlinked movies. Then Ludo occurred,” mentioned Anurag

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Taani Basu, and directed by Anurag Basu, the movie stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Neena Gupta.
The story unfolds by way of 4 interconnected love tales, spanning younger, middle-aged, and older {couples}, set towards the backdrop of a bustling metro metropolis. The trailer teases the dynamics between the pairings: Sara Ali Khan–Aditya Roy Kapur, Konkona Sen Sharma–Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal–Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Anupam Kher–Neena Gupta. The movie is ready to hit the screens on July 4.
