Actors 14-year-old son dies by suicide in Mumbai: Mother requested him to go for tuition

A resident alerted his mom to the incident. No foul play has been suspected by the police but.

A 14-year-old son of an actor died by alleged suicide at a high-rise in Kandivali within the northern a part of Mumbai, PTI reported, citing a police official stated on Thursday.

According to the police, the boy had an argument along with his mom over going to tuition.

“On Wednesday, the Class 9 scholar was requested by his mom to go for tuition, however he was reluctant, which led to an argument,” an unidentified police official was quoted as saying by PTI. 

The official stated a resident alerted his mom to the incident, including that no foul play has been suspected. 

“No foul is suspected as yet. An accidental death report has been registered and a further probe is underway,” the Kandivali police station official stated. 

News company PTI, quoting sources inside the police division added, that the police may go to the deceased’s college and tuition centre as a part of the probe.

In an unrelated case, a 64-year-old builder from Nalasopara died by suicide after he was allegedly harassed by moneylenders and policemen.

According to the police, the deceased, a resident of Nalasopara East, appeared extraordinarily harassed previously few months. His daughter advised the police that he had taken a 32 lakh mortgage from a moneylender, and his household added that two police constables had been typically harassing him to repay the mortgage.

The police stated that the accused had been threatening at hand over the contract of a constructing he was setting up to a different builder.
