Kamal Haasan meets Rajinikanth forward of Rajya Sabha oath-taking ceremony; footage go viral

Veteran actor-politician Kamal Haasan on Wednesday (July 16) met his longtime good friend, famous person Rajinikanth, to share the information of being appointed as a Member of the Parliament. This comes simply days earlier than Kamal will take oath as a Rajya Sabha MP.

Kamal posted footage from the assembly on his X deal with, writing, “I shared the start of this new journey with my good friend @rajinikanth. I really feel elated.” The footage of the 2 stalwarts of Tamil cinema have gone viral on social media.

Kamal Haasan, who’s the founding father of Makkal Needhi Maiyam, was among the many six candidates from Tamil Nadu who have been elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha. The DMK had named three candidates and allotted one seat to the MNM chief, as per a previous settlement. Kamal will take oath as a Rajya Sabha MP and assume obligations of the position on July 25.

Meanwhile, on the movie entrance, Kamal was final seen in Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life, a gangster drama that was broadly panned by critics and audiences. He has Shankar’s Indian 3 and a movie with motion choreographers Anbariv amongst different tasks within the line-up.
