IMC 2025: Beyond 5G, India’s ambitions lengthen to 6G, satellite tv for pc communication, says Jyotiraditya Scindia

India’s ambitions lengthen properly past 5G, with a goal of securing 10% of 6G patents, whereas satellite tv for pc communications are poised for exponential development, with the market set to triple by 2033, Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia mentioned on Wednesday (October 8, 2025).

Speaking on the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, Mr. Scindia famous that India has developed from being a follower of know-how to rising as a digital flagbearer on the worldwide stage.

Outlining India’s transformation right into a self-reliant nation, Mr. Scindia mentioned, “The day is not far off when people will say the world depends on India.” “I appeal to all of you today, design here, solve here, scale for everywhere. India innovates, and the world transforms,” the Minister mentioned.

“Satellite communications right this moment are increasing horizons, taking connectivity from land to sea to area. The Satcom market right this moment, throughout telecom and broadcasting, which is at near $4 billion, will triple to virtually $15 billion by 2033. India’s ambition extends past 5G, Mr. Scindia mentioned, including that the Bharat 6G Alliance goals for 10% of patents, as requirements are being set for 6G.
