As on July 31, 2025, the entire dues of BSES Yamuna Power Ltd. and BSES Rajdhani Power quantities to ₹28,483 crore, in accordance with Reliance Infrastructure.
The two energy distribution firms (discoms), wherein Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) holds 51%, provide electrical energy to five.3 million households in Delhi. The remaining 49% stake is with the Delhi authorities.
In a regulatory submitting on Friday (August 8, 2025), Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) stated its subsidiaries will “get better ₹28,483 crore of regulatory belongings over a interval of 4 years beginning retrospectively from April 1, 2024”, following a Supreme Court order that has set tips for the restoration of regulatory belongings.

RInfra additional stated its subsidiaries had filed a writ petition and civil appeals in 2014 earlier than the Supreme Court, elevating the difficulty of “non-cost reflective tariff, illegal creation of regulatory asset and non-liquidation of regulatory asset”.
The writ petitions together with related issues had been heard at size by the Supreme Court, and after listening to all events, together with the state governments and state electrical energy regulatory commissions.
As per the order, RInfra stated, Electricity Regulatory Commissions (ERCs) should present the roadmap for liquidation of current regulatory belongings, which can embody provisions for coping with carrying prices.
“ERCs should additionally undertake a strict and intensive audit of the circumstances wherein the Discoms have continued with out restoration of Regulatory Assets,” it stated.
