Sundaram Home enters Karnataka; eyes 60 crore disbursements below EB section

Sundaram Home Finance has made its foray into Karnataka market and goals to make disbursements of ₹60 crore through the first yr of its operations, below the Emerging Business section within the State.

During the primary section of growth, the Chennai-based firm plans to arrange 8-10 rising enterprise branches in Tier II and III cities in Karnataka, a press launch stated on Tuesday (September 9, 2025).

Sundaram Home Finance is a subsidiary of the non-banking finance firm Sundaram Finance Ltd. The firm has over 50 branches in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh below the Emerging Business section. Last yr, the corporate disbursed Rs 200 crore below this class.

The Emerging Business vertical of the corporate includes small enterprise loans of as much as Rs 20 lakh and inexpensive housing finance, the place the corporate gives loans as much as Rs 40 lakh.

Commenting on the foray into Karnataka, firm MD D Lakshminarayanan stated, “In line with our stated intent of expanding the Emerging Business outside Tamil Nadu, we have forayed into Karnataka and are hopeful of establishing a good presence in the Tier II and III towns in the State over the next 12-18 months.” On the explanations behind coming into the Karnataka market, he stated, it has huge potential for inexpensive housing finance with the Government pushing this section aggressively.

“We believe there will be a high demand for credit in the affordable housing segment and hope to tap into this growing opportunity,” he stated.
