Tata Steel on Wednesday (October 15, 2025) introduced that it will deploy feminine workers throughout all three shifts on the firm’s Jamshedpur plant.

“An estimated 543 feminine workers throughout 21 departments will work in three shifts by February 1, 2026, and the deployment might be made in a phased method,” the corporate stated.

“The important enlargement of its ground-breaking initiative, “Udaan: Wings of Change,” was witnessed deployment of girls throughout all three shifts on Tuesday (October 14, 2025),” the corporate in a press release stated.

This strategic transfer underscores Tata Steel’s dedication to fostering better gender variety, fairness, and inclusion inside its workforce, aligning with its broader DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) targets.

“This enlargement follows current regulatory approvals from the federal government and displays Tata Steel’s proactive strategy to creating an inclusive work atmosphere,” the corporate stated in a press release.

“The ‘Udaan: Wings of Change’ initiative is a testament to Tata Steel’s deep-rooted commitment to empowering women and fostering a truly inclusive workplace,” stated Atrayee Sanyal, Chief People Officer of the corporate.

“By enabling female employees to participate in three-shift operations, we are not only expanding opportunities but also strengthening our organisational fabric through diverse perspectives and capabilities. We have meticulously planned a comprehensive support system to ensure their safety, security, well-being, and professional growth,” she added.
