Mahindra Scorpio N facelift spotted testing; Big changes coming?

Updated on: Jan 30, 2026 01:51 pm IST

Mahindra has begun testing the Scorpio N facelift in India, hinting at exterior and tech updates, while engine options are expected to remain unchanged.

A test unit of the Mahindra Scorpio N facelift has been spotted testing in Chandigarh. The test mule seen in the video is heavily camouflaged and does not reveal many exterior details. Two vehicles can be seen during the test run. One is riding on steel wheels, while the other is fitted with alloy wheels. This indicates that Mahindra is testing both lower and higher trim levels of the updated Scorpio N at the same time.

Exterior updates expected

Both test vehicles are fully covered in camouflage, suggesting that noticeable visual changes are planned for the facelift. The use of placeholder headlamps confirms that these are not production-spec units. Up front, the Scorpio N facelift is expected to get a revised fascia, which could include a reworked grille, a new front bumper, and updated headlamps and fog lamps.

Changes are likely at the rear as well. The tail-lamps could feature a new design, along with minor revisions to the tailgate and rear bumper. One of the test mules is also seen running on a new set of alloy wheels, pointing to fresh wheel designs being introduced with the update.

Interior and tech upgrades

Updates inside the cabin are expected to focus mainly on technology. The Scorpio N facelift is likely to receive a new touchscreen infotainment system, possibly borrowed from the recently launched Thar Roxx. A digital instrument cluster is also expected, replacing the current analogue setup. Other changes could include a revised upholstery colour scheme and small trim updates to freshen up the interior.

Powertrain and pricing outlook

There are no mechanical changes expected with the facelift. The Scorpio N will continue with the same engine options: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 203 hp and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine with an output of 175 hp. Transmission choices are also expected to remain unchanged, with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic on offer.

The current Scorpio N is priced between 13.49 lakh and 24.34 lakh. With the facelift, prices are expected to see a slight increase. More details are likely to emerge closer to the launch.
