VinFast VF6, VF7 prices hiked in India by up to 1.3 lakh

VinFast has revised the prices for its electric SUVs, VF6 and VF7, marking the end of its introductory prices. 

Vietnamese electric automaker VinFast has recently revised the prices of its electric SUVs, the VF6 and VF7, by up to 1.3 lakh. The price hike marks the end of the company’s introductory price, which aimed at attracting customers with a competitive price point.

VinFast VF6 Price Hike

Notably, the VinFast VF6 has received a price hike of 90,000. The base Earth variant received a price hike of 80,000, while the higher-spec Wind and Wind Infinity variants have both received a 90,000 hike, with the starting ex-showroom price now set at 17.29 lakh. The VinFast VF6 is powered by a 59.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which powers an electric motor located on the front axle. Additionally, the VinFast VF6 gets two different power outputs as per its variants. The base Earth variant has a maximum power output of 174 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, while the mid Wind variant and top Wind Infinity variant get a maximum power output of 201.1 bhp and 310 Nm of torque.

VinFast VF7 Price Hike

Additionally, the VinFast VF7 has witnessed a price hike of up to 1.3 lakh. The Earth variant received a price hike of 1 lakh, while the Wind variant and Sky variant received a price hike of 1.2 lakh and 1.3 lakh, respectively. The price hike results in a revised starting ex-showroom price of 21.89 lakh for the VF7. The VinFast VF7 is powered by two different battery configurations: a 59.6 kWh unit and a 70.8 kWH unit.

The base variant gets the former powering an electric motor on the front axle, producing 174.3 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. In addition to that, the Wind and Wind Infinity variants of the VF7 get a 70.8 kWH battery pack powering an electric motor on the front axle, producing 201.1 bhp and 310 Nm of torque. The Sky and Sky Infinity variants also get a 70.8 kWH battery pack powering dual electric motors, allowing for an all-wheel drive setup. The electric motors produce a combined output of 348.6 bhp and 500 Nm of torque.

Moreover, the Vietnamese automaker has recorded the sales of 826 units in the 2025 calendar year, outselling Volvo and Tesla in the same time frame with 389 units and 225 units, respectively, according to sales data from the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA).
