India Yamaha recalls 3,06,635 RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid scooters to fix a front brake caliper issue free of cost.

India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. has announced a large-scale voluntary recall in India as part of its continued focus on customer safety and product quality. The company has confirmed that a total of 3,06,635 units of its 125 cc scooter range are affected by this recall campaign, which has come into effect immediately. The scooters included in this initiative were manufactured between May 2, 2024, and September 3, 2025.

The 2025 Yamaha Fascino 125 continues to draw power from the 125 cc air-cooled, fuel-injected engine tuned for 8 bhp and 10.3 Nm

The recall applies to select units of the RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, two of Yamaha’s most popular scooters in the Indian market. According to the company, the decision to initiate the recall was taken after identifying a potential issue related to the front brake system. Under certain operating conditions, the front brake caliper in some scooters may exhibit limited functionality. While the issue has been identified only in specific units, Yamaha has chosen a proactive approach to ensure rider safety and maintain its quality standards.

As part of the recall campaign, Yamaha will replace the affected component free of charge for all eligible customers. The company has clarified that there will be no cost involved for parts or labour, reinforcing its commitment to customer satisfaction and safety. Yamaha has also stated that customer safety remains its highest priority and that the recall is a preventive step to avoid any possible inconvenience or risk in the future.

To make the process simple and transparent, Yamaha has provided multiple ways for customers to check whether their scooter is covered under the recall. Owners can visit the official India Yamaha Motor website and navigate to the Service section. Under the Maintenance tab, customers need to select the Voluntary Recall Campaign option and enter their scooter’s chassis number in the Scooter 125 section to verify eligibility and view the next steps.

In addition to the online verification process, customers can also visit their nearest authorised Yamaha showroom or service centre for assistance. Yamaha has further set up a dedicated toll-free helpline at 1800-420-1600, along with an official email ID yes@yamaha-motor-india.com, to address customer queries and provide support related to the recall.
