A.P. govt. fixes in-service quota at 15% for medical, 30% for non-clinical PG seats

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has authorised a proposal from the Department of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare on the reservation of seats for in-service medical doctors in Post Graduate (PG) medical programs within the State, efficient from the tutorial 12 months 2025–26.

According to a press launch issued by the division on Monday, the in-service quota has been mounted at 15% in seven medical departments, together with General Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatrics, Gynaecology, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, and Radiology. Under this association, 154 seats shall be accessible for presidency service medical doctors.

In distinction, 9 non-clinical departments can have a 30% in-service quota, accounting for 118 seats. Altogether, 272 PG seats have been earmarked for in-service medical doctors for the tutorial 12 months 2025–26.
