Applications invited for appointment of para authorized volunteers in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka

Applications have been referred to as for appointment of para authorized volunteers to Dakshina Kannada District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and the 4 Taluk Legal Services Committees (TLSCs) within the district.

Around 100 volunteers can be taken on the DLSA whereas about 50 volunteers can be taken for every of the TLSCs in Belthangady, Sullia, Puttur and Bantwal.

On September 23, DLSA Member Secretary Zaibunnisa informed reporters in Mangaluru that the para authorized volunteers can be a hyperlink between the DLSA/TLSCs and the individuals. These volunteers can be concerned in authorized consciousness actions. They will even assist individuals in taking help of Legal Service Authorities in getting disputes resolved via mediation, Lok Adalat and Permanent Lok Adalat. Each volunteer can be paid ₹750 per day.

As per National Legal Services Authority, the PLVs shall be literate, ideally matriculate, with a capability for general comprehension. They will be lecturers, retired authorities workers, regulation college students, anganwadi staff, docs and members of socially oriented NGOs and golf equipment.
