Mr. Cherian mentioned the BJP-ruled States gave tax breaks to the film, which he said claimed malevolently that hundreds of Hindu ladies in #Kerala fell prey to “Love Jihad.”
He mentioned the #Sangh Parivar had injected the phrase into Hindu majoritarian rhetoric to falsely accuse Muslim youth of tricking Hindu ladies into marriage for conversion to Islam and subsequent radicalisation to fill the ranks of Islamist fighters in Syria and Yemen.
Finance Minister Ok.N. Balagopal mentioned compelled conversion conspiracy theories propagated by the armada of Hindu rightwing teams have triggered an uptick in assaults on minorities in BJP-ruled States.
“We noticed in Chhattisgarh how the Bajrang Dal lynch mob ambushed two #Kerala nuns on the false cost of spiriting out tribal ladies to Agra for conversion to Christianity. The BJP authorities within the State performed second fiddle to the conspiracists. It arrested and incarcerated the nuns on fees of human trafficking,” Mr. Balagopal mentioned.
Excise Minister M.B. Rajesh said that the BJP had perverted the nationwide movie awards to demonise #Kerala. He mentioned the BJP had repeatedly leaned on the ill-made film’s false and malicious narrative to sow communal divisions within the State.
All India Congress Committee (AICC) basic secretary (Organisation), Ok.C. Venugopal, MP, mentioned the film’s distorted messaging has helped Hindu rightwing teams to whip up hate towards minorities in BJP-ruled States and sow communal divisions in #Kerala. “The nationwide award for the xenophobic film is the BJP’s payback to secular #Kerala for shutting the door on the #Sangh Parivar,” he mentioned.
