The mortal stays of Sanoo have been consigned to flames on the Ravipuram crematorium with full State honours within the night. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Leader of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan have been amongst those that paid their homage to the departed author.

People from varied walks of life paid their final respects to Sanoo at his residence within the morning and later on the Ernakulam Town Hall, the place the physique was saved.
Ministers P. Prasad, R. Bindu, and P. Rajeeve, CPI(M) common secretary M.A. Baby, State secretary M.V. Govindan, and Mayor M. Anilkumar have been amongst those that paid their respects.

Sanoo, who was hospitalised following a hip fracture final week, handed away on Saturday.
