Minister for Housing, Prohibition and Excise S. Muthusamy launched the scheme on the Collectorate and distributed id playing cards to kids. The scheme was formally inaugurated in Chennai earlier within the day by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. It goals to help kids who’ve misplaced each mother and father or are unable to be cared for by a surviving mum or dad, guaranteeing they proceed their training with out interruption till the age of 18. Post-schooling, faculty training and talent growth coaching can even be supplied.
In Erode district, 209 kids have been recognized by subject surveys and purposes acquired on the Ungaludan Stalin camps. Beneficiaries embody 90 kids who’ve misplaced their mother and father, 74 deserted kids, 35 with a surviving however bodily or mentally challenged mum or dad, two with a surviving mum or dad in jail, and eight whose surviving mum or dad suffers from life-threatening sickness.
